Receiving a Document

3 - 14 Basic Fax Operations

Once the desired selection is made, press the "Yes" key to validate it.

Press the "No" key to exit from the

RX OPERATION

mode. The initial screen is

displayed.

Selecting the Reception Mode (Setting RX Mode)

Your machine may be in either one of the following two modes when receiving a document from

the other party. Select the appropriate mode according as how you are going to receive the

document.

Fax mode (Auto RX mode)

Select this mode when you use your machine mainly as a fax machine. When a

document comes in, your machine rings several times before starting an auto-

matic reception. The number of rings can be set as required. “Setting No. of

RINGS” on page 7-14.

TEL mode (Manual RX mode)

Select this mode when you use your machine mainly as a telephone. To receive

a fax document, pick up the Handset, if you hear a fax tone, press the "Start"

key and hang-up to receive it manually. Note in this mode you cannot receive a

document automatically.

Selecting the Reception Mode

Press the "Program" key 5 times into the

RX OPERATION

Press "7" of the Keypad to show "7 RX Mode" on the Message Display.

Select the Arrow keys to select

AUTO RX

MANUAL RX

Then press the "Yes" key.

The machine is now ready to receive based on the mode selected through the above steps.
